Day 1 Your Nova Scotia travel begins in Halifax 

Tour starts at 6:00 PM at the Delta Barrington. A transfer is included from Halifax International Airport to the Delta Barringon. Kick off a week of exciting P.E.I. and Nova Scotia travel in Halifax with a welcome reception at Pier 21, Gateway to Canada, which features exhibits chronicling 20th-century Canadian immigration and the poignant multi-media production, Oceans of Hope.

Day 2 18th-century Lunenburg and pretty Peggy’s Cove 

Your Nova Scotia travel continues with an excursion from Halifax along the rugged Atlantic coast to the fishing village of Lunenburg, renowned for its rich shipbuilding and maritime legacy; established in the 18th century, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best surviving examples of a planned British colonial settlement in North America. You have a choice today of sightseeing today – see the village’s 18th- and 19th-century timber-built houses on a walking tour, or visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic – housed in historic waterfront buildings – to gain insights into the Maritimes’ seafaring heritage. Also visit Mahone Bay and Peggy’s Cove, another picturesque fishing town, before returning to Halifax for an evening at leisure.

Day 3 Historic Halifax and an exclusive evening at the Citadel

Day 4 From Nova Scotia travel to Prince Edward Island 

Bid a temporary goodbye to Nova Scotia as you ride a ferry to lovely Prince Edward Island. You’ll be mesmerized immediately by many miles of beaches and rich farmland in the interior. After lunch, arrive in the provincial capital of Charlottetown for a two-night stay; visit Founders’ Hall, with state-of-the-art exhibits showcasing Canada’s history, and settle in at your hotel just steps from Old Charlottetown’s boardwalk.

Day 5 Anne of Green Gables on Prince Edward Island 

Following a morning at leisure in Charlottetown, set out to discover the fragile sand dune habitat on Greenwich Peninsula, and view the wildlife-rich salt marshes and dramatic bluffs along the coast at Prince Edward Island National Park. You’ll find yourself immersed in local culture later in the day as you visit the Green Gables House, the old farmhouse immortalized in Lucy Maud Montgomery’s cherished 1908 novel, Anne of Green Gables, and dig into a traditional lobster dinner, a must-have experience on P.E.I. Tonight, cap a very special day by attending a musical theatre performance of Anne of Green Gables at the Charlottetown Theatre Festival (season permitting).

Day 6 History comes alive as your Nova Scotia travel continues 

From Prince Edward Island, cross the Confederation Bridge to New Brunswick and on to Nova Scotia once again. Continue on to a two-night stay at a golf resort in Digby, built in 1929 overlooking the Annapolis Basin and the Bay of Fundy.

Day 8 The Acadian saga ends your P.E.I. and Nova Scotia travel

Tour ends at Halifax International Airport at 11:45 AM.
