Calgary to Vancouver 7 days/6 nights
Itinerary
Day 1 Calgary to Banff
Leave the Stampede City of Calgary on the express service to Banff where
you will have ample opportunity to take in the sights.
Day 2 Banff
A free day to enjoy Canada’s premier winter resort. Try the unique
shopping in Banff, skiing or boarding at one of 3 ski resorts in the area (not
included) or soak and have a massage at the fabulous, luxurious Solace
Spa at the Banff Springs Hotel (not included).
Day 3 Banff to Lake Louise (Evening Sleigh Ride)
Depart Banff early afternoon for a short drive to Lake Louise via the scenic
Bow Valley. Included this evening is a wonderful 40 minute Sleigh Ride
that takes place beside the lake.
Please note: Sleigh Ride will operate Mid December – Mid March
Day 4 Lake Louise to Jasper
Travel northward along the Icefield Parkway to Jasper today. This
spectacular drive through glacier country will be highlighted by massive
snow covered mountains, frozen waterfalls and broad reaching valleys.
Day 5 Jasper (Maligne Canyon ice walk)
This evening experience the wonders of the Maligne Canyon from the
ground up! The canyon has withstood 10,000 years of erosion and has
created a 165 foot gorge. Certified guides will lead groups of no more
than 12 along the frozen canyon floor and its ice-clad limestone walls.
Super soles and winter boots will keep guests warm and secure as they
explore this wonderland of rock and ice.

Day 6 Jasper to Vancouver onboard Via rail
Mid afternoon board VIA Rail Silver & Blue Service to Vancouver. Leaving
Jasper National Park, travel the ‘Yellowhead’ route past the sprawling
grandeur of Mount Robson, then following the mighty Thompson River
all the way to the Fraser Valley and the coastal city of Vancouver. Exclusive
to Silver and Blue class: By day, sit back in comfortable armchairs and
enjoy the stretch out comfort of your very own accommodation. At night
attendants will transform your quarters into cozy bunks or bedroom.
Guests have access to the Park Car, always at the tail end of the train whose
tapered shape gives the car its distinctive look. Enjoy complimentary tea
and coffee or in the evening before dinner complimentary hors d’oeuvres.
In the Dome you’ll feel the true essence of traveling by train – where scene
after memorable scene sweeps by. This evening retire to your Sleeping
Car where a comfortable bed awaits you. Some of the amenities include
thick towels, plump pillows, cozy down duvets and a shower kit.

Day 7 Arrive Vancouver
Your tour ends upon arrival in Vancouver at 9.30am.
