Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Cairo, Egypt (D)
Welcome to Cairo, one of the largest and oldest cities in the world. On arrival at Cairo International Airport a Scenic Tours Representative will greet you and transfer* you to your hotel, nestled at the foot of Giza Plateau. Tonight meet your Egyptologist and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner.
Overnight Special Stay: Cairo
Day 2: Cairo – Alexandria (FB,L)
The city of Alexandria was established by Alexander the Great and is situated on the Mediterranean Sea at the point where the Nile meets the sea. On your Included tour enter the Kom el Shoqafa or catacombs, the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt and tour the National Museum.
Two Night Special Stay: Alexandria
Day 3: Alexandria (FB,D)
This morning your Included tour visits the Roman Amphitheatre, Pompey’s Pillar and the famous Bibliotheca. The afternoon is at leisure for you to relax and perhaps take a stroll along the Corniche.
Day 4: Alexandria – Cairo (FB,L)
This morning travel to El Alamein, the site of Montgomery’s famous victory over Rommel’s Afrika Korps. Included is your visit to the Commonwealth War Cemetery and the Military Museum. Continue to Cairo. SCENIC ENRICH This evening join your Egyptologist for a fascinating lecture on Egypt at a private soirée including canapés and welcome drinks.

Day 5: Cairo (FB,D)
SCENIC ENRICH Scenic Tours have planned your itinerary at the Pyramids of Giza to allow plenty of time to explore this key highlight. On your Included tour you will marvel at the Pyramids, capture the panorama from the lookout, enter the amazing Solar Boat Museum to view the 5,000 year old funeral boat of King Khufu and visit the famous Sphinx, carved from a single limestone block. You will have plenty of free time to explore this fascinating area at your leisure before returning to the hotel. Tonight witness the Sound and Light Show in front of the Sphinx and the Pyramids.
Day 6: Cairo – Luxor (FB,HD)
Early morning fly to Luxor. SCENIC ENRICH Experience the charm of the Sofitel Old Winter Palace at your private morning tea served in the delightful Royal Bar. Included today is your tour of Karnak Temple, a spectacular complex of sanctuaries, pylons and obelisks built by generations of Pharaoh’s over a thousand year period. This evening for your Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE Dining choose from: (1) La Corniche Restaurant; or (2) El Tarboush Oriental Restaurant; or (3) Il Palmeto Italian Restaurant.

Day 7: Luxor – Nile Cruise (FB,L,D)
This morning cross to the west bank of the Nile for your Included exploration of one of the most important archaeological areas in the world. See the Colossi of Memnon, discovered standing in a field and enter the imposing Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the longest ruling female pharaoh. The final stop is the Valley of the Kings and Included in your tour is entry to three tombs within the valley. SCENIC ENRICH A highlight is your Included entry into the tomb of Tutankhamen. Return to the private docking facility and board your luxurious Nile Cruise boat, your home for the next four days of exploration. A leisurely lunch is served onboard with afternoon tea served in the lounge. This evening Included is a visit to Luxor Temple, where the floodlit statues provide an impressive backdrop to this temple located in the centre of the city.

Day 8: Luxor – Edfu (FB,L,D)
SCENIC ENRICH This morning join your Egyptologist for a walking adventure through Luxor’s lively local markets. Set sail this afternoon for Edfu. Tonight enjoy the Cruise Manager’s Welcome Cocktail Party before dinner.
Day 9: Edfu – Aswan (FB,L,D)
This morning Included is your visit to the magnificently preserved temple of Horus at Edfu. Return to the cruise boat and enjoy lunch onboard whilst you cruise to Kom Ombo. Included is a guided tour by your expert Egyptologist to this temple perched on the river’s edge and dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Afterwards, cruise to Aswan and take part in the lively Galabeya (traditional Egyptian dress) party onboard.
Day 10: Aswan – Abu Simbel – Aswan (FB,L,D)
SCENIC ENRICH This morning your Included flight takes you to see the temples of Ramses ll and Queen Nefertari at Abu Simbel. Marvel at the 20 metre high statues and be captivated by the story of the saving of the temple from the rising waters of the High Dam. This afternoon your Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE activity awaits. Choose from (1) a motorboat cruise upstream to the peaceful part of the Nile; or (2) visit a traditional Nubian Village; or (3) take a relaxing felucca ride (weather permitting). Tonight enjoy the Nubian show onboard after dinner.
Day 11: Aswan – Cairo (FB)
Your cruise ends this morning and you disembark after breakfast. Take a short motorboat ride for your Included visit to the charming Temple of Isis at Philae. Marvel at the construction of the Aswan High Dam enroute to the airport. Fly to Cairo and on arrival transfer to your luxurious hotel located on the edge of the Nile.

Day 12: Cairo (FB,HD)
SCENIC ENRICH Scenic Tours have planned your itinerary at the amazing Egyptian Museum to allow plenty of time to explore at your own pace. Included is King Tutankhamen’s collection of treasures from his tomb. SCENIC ENRICH Enter the Mummy’s Room and come face to face with some of the great rulers of Ancient Egypt. This afternoon enjoy your Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE oice activity choose from: (1) Islamic Cairo and Khan el Khalili Bazaar; or (2) Coptic Cairo and Old Cairo; or (3) Saqqara and the Step Pyramid. SCENIC ENRICH This evening enjoy your private dinner overlooking the Nile.
Day 13: Cairo – Amman, Jordan (FB,HD)
This morning fly to Jordan (flight not included). Upon arrival at Amman Airport you will be met by your Scenic Tours representative who will assist you with clearing customs and immigration. Your Tour Director will transfer with you to the hotel and provide an orientation tour of the local area. SCENIC ENRICH Late afternoon meet your Tour Director for a welcome drink and introductory talk on Jordan before sampling a delicious home cooked meal. You will enjoy a local family’s friendly hospitality whilst learning about the lifestyle and culture of the Jordanian’s.
Two Night Stay: Amman
Day 14: Amman – Jerash – Amman (FB,L)
This morning travel to the ancient city of Jerash, acknowledged as one of the best preserved provincial cities of the Roman Empire. On your Included tour of the old walled city you will see the Triple Arch Gate, the huge Hippodrome, the Colonnaded Street, the Forum, the Temple of Zeus and the paved way leading to the Temple of Artemis. Afterwards return to Amman for your Included city tour. Drive through the Old town, to the ancient Citadel, where you will see traces of Amman’s many lives: the columns of a Roman temple, the Byzantine church, view the Roman theatre and enter the Archaeological Museum.
Day 15: Amman – Petra (FB,L)
Leave Amman this morning and travel to ‘Bethany Beyond The Jordan’ for your Included tour. Amazing archaeological discoveries have identified this as the area where Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist. Continue to one of the most revered sites in Jordan – Mount Nebo. View the memorial to Moses at the presumed site of the prophet’s death and burial place. SCENIC ENRICH Visit Jewel Mosaic Workshop, which provides training and employment for disabled people and learn about the intricate techniques used in designing the famous Jordanian mosaics. Enjoy your Included lunch at Madaba then see the famous mosaic map of the Holy Land, comprised of two million pieces of coloured stone, before continuing to the Rose Red City of Petra.

Day 16: Petra (FB,D)
A highlight of your trip is today’s Included full day walking tour of magnificent Petra. This ancient city, carved into the sandstone mountains, is the legacy of the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab people who settled in south Jordan more than 2,000 years ago. By the 16th century Petra had become completely lost to the West, and remained so until 1812 when the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt persuaded his guide to take him to the site of the rumoured lost city. Marvel at Petra’s most famous monument: the Treasury, which appears dramatically at the end of the ravine or “siq”. This towering facade is only the first of Petra’s secrets you will discover today. This evening enjoy your Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE activity choose from: (1) Petra by Nightv; or (2) relax in the Hamam (Turkish baths).
Day 17: Petra – Dead Sea (FB)
Today travel in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia as you drive to the Valley of the Moon – Wadi Rum, where the legend of Lawrence was born and the film was shot. Included is your two hour adventure through some of the most dramatic desert landscapes by Jeep, operated by the local Bedouin tribes. Explore Lawrence Road; be awed by the vistas of ancient valleys and towering weathered sandstone mountains rising out of the pink and white sands. Continue north to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea.

Day 18: Dead Sea (FB,HD)
You have the day to relax and enjoy the facilities of the Resort, which is located on the edge of the Dead Sea with direct access. You may choose to float in the sea renowned for its therapeutic benefits. SCENIC ENRICH Enjoy a private dinner tonight with magnificent views over the Dead Sea.
Day 19: Dead Sea – Dubai, United Arab Emirates (FB)
This morning fly to Dubai (flight not included). On arrival you will be personally met by our Scenic Tours Representative after clearing customs and immigration and transferred to your hotel. This evening meet your Tour Director for a welcome drink.
Three Night Stay: Dubai
Day 20: Dubai (FB,HD)
This morning explore the old and new faces of Dubai side by side on your Included city tour. Visit Al Fahidi Fort and the Dubai Museum. Ride the Abra (water-taxi) across the creek and wander through the world famous gold and spice souks. Then enjoy some free time at the Dubai Mall. SCENIC ENRICH Ride the high speed elevators 124 floors up the tallest tower in the world, the Burj Khalifa. Then enter “At the Top” for an unobstructed 360-degree view over the city, the desert and the Arabian Gulf. This evening enjoy your Included SCENIC FREE CHOICE Dinner choose from: (1) the exciting Desert Dune Safari and sumptuous Arabian style BBQ; or (2) cruise aboard Bateaux Dubai, including a four-course gourmet dinner; or (3) cruise onboard a traditional wooden Arabic Dhow enjoying a buffet of delicious food.
Day 21: Dubai (FB)
Included today is your ticket on the Dubai Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus so you can explore the city and malls at your leisure.
Day 22: Tour End (FB)
Our tour ends today and after breakfast you will be transferred* to Dubai International Airport for your onward or homebound flight (flight not included).
