Accommodation Types
There is one grade of private accommodation, available as single or double compartments. All passengers receive the same level of service. All compartments contain bottled mineral water, VSOE writing paper, one pair of slippers and complimentary Orient-Express magazine.

Day Car Seats

On short daytime sectors, it is possible to reserve “Day Car” accommodation instead of a private cabin. This is a reserved seat in the Bar Car and has no access to compartments or changing facilities.

Double Compartment (dimensions: approx. 1903mm x 1478mm)

Private lounge during the day with a banquette sofa, footstool and small table.
Daytime seating converts to 1 upper and 1 lower bed at night. Bed size is approx. 190cm x 85cm.
A washbasin with hot and cold water is enclosed in a cabinet.
Towels and toiletries are provided.
24 hour steward service called by a bell.
International electric sockets. 230/ 115 volt socket for razors.
Individually controlled radiators.
Some compartments are fitted with a personal safe.
Overhead luggage racks for storage of a limited amount of luggage. 2 coat hooks and 2 hangers for clothes.

Single Compartment (dimensions: approx. 1903mm x 1350mm)

Same facilities as the double compartment but with one lower bed only at night.

Connecting Cabins

2 inter-connecting Double Compartments opening up to form a cabin suite.
Note: Single Compartments do not inter-connect.

Children

There is no child discount available. Due to the nature of the journey children will be accepted upon the discretion of Orient Express.
