Capella Lodge, Lord Howe Island
THE FIRST LUXURY LODGE IN THE WORLD’S LAST PARADISE

Capella Lodge perches above Lord Howe Island’s spectacular Lover’s Bay, a boutique Lodge that carries all the hallmarks of beachside living with luxe.
The visual drama is compelling: floor to ceiling windows allow Lord Howe’s signature subtropical forests,
the towering twin peaks of Mts Gower and Lidgbirdand the jewel-toned reef to take centre stage.
The Lodge’s contemporary style and streamlined luxury – interiors awash with muted colours with hints of modern tropical and mariner chic –
is beautifully matched with exceptional dining and first name service.
CAPELLA SUITE
With a flowing single level design offering cameo views of the ocean and mountains, the Capella Suite features king or optional twin bedding,
integrated lounge area and private outdoor deck.
High ceilings and marine finishes create a beach house feel, a sense of cool airiness in this subtropical paradise, Lord Howe kentia palms waving outside.
Guests find a stylish refuge in this 45m² space, featuring such lounging treats as the addictive Danish ‘Primetime’ chair
with classic Artemide Tolomeo lamp stretching above, ideal for an indulgent read in the afternoon breeze.
Cool Julie Paterson custom designed fabrics and wood print art add a distinctive ‘laid back’ Lord Howe feel to this suite.
A chic basalt-dressed ensuite offers natural sky lighting and an oversized shower with generous dual heads
allowing guests to rejuvenate in the remarkably soft, pure Lord Howe rainwater.
Custom Capella Spa amenities use Island botanicals and enriching marine elements to create a sensual Lord Howe bathing experience.
An expansive outdoor deck with sumptuous day bed and sun lounge complete a picture of relaxed, rejuvenating island living.

CAPELLA FAMILY SUITE
Perfect for a small family or friends relaxing together,
the generous single level Family Suite with king bedroom also features a separate lounge area with day beds that can convert to
two single beds on evening turndown.
Flexible bedding options also allow four single beds.
Inspired by the lofty heights of the mountains just outside, vaulted white ceilings and marine finishes create a cool and airy feel to this 65m² suite.
A generous outdoor deck flows easily to offer outdoor relaxation options including large daybed and occasional furniture.
Guests are spellbound by views of the magnificent mountains soaring above and cool ocean glimpses beyond.
A luxurious basalt-walled ensuite bathroom affords easy privacy and convenience,
with treats such as island-scented handmade soaps, Capella Spa toiletries and organic ceramics.
Technology to keep in touch or chilllout includes wireless internet connection and Bose music system.
Danish ‘Prime Time’ chairs and textiles by Julie Paterson of Cloth create a sense of leisure at its most stylish.

LAGOON LOFT
The popular Lagoon Loft is a comfortable mezzanine style 55m² suite with king bedroom upstairs, living area downstairs and private decks on both levels.
Generous living area daybeds can convert to one or two single beds at evening turndown for additional guests on request.
Lavish soft furnishings are custom designed by Julie Paterson of Cloth, and her woodcuts of the rare Lord Howe woodhen line the walls.
Basalt bathroom with rainshower and smooth slab vanity is easily accessible from the living area.
Views are sensational from the upper level and extend to the reef-fringed lagoon, ocean and to the mountains rising ahead.
The private deck areas with sumptuous daybed or teak armchairs provide a relaxed refuge, an ideal spot to unwind with a book,
or to quietly contemplate the naturally calm surrounds, endemic kentia palms framing an idyllic island cameo.

MAKAMBO LOFT
New to Capella and inspired by the swashbuckling seafaring days of Lord Howe,
this premium mezzanine suite draws mesmerising views of Lord Howe’s postcard twin peaks, Mts Gower and Lidgbird.
The 90m² suite features a generous upstairs king sleeping area, reached by a striking red spiral staircase and is an ideal retreat for two people.
Luxe daybeds in the living area below make for a perfect chillout, or can convert on turndown to one or two single beds for additional persons.
A contemporary basalt bathroom is located on the lower level.
Generous private decks on both levels with lounging furniture and retro Ditzel ‘hanging basket’ chair promote quiet contemplation of
Lord Howe’s dramatic natural landscape.
Fat dairy cows munch contentedly on lush green grass at the mountains’ foot; it’s a world apart.
The Makambo Loft is a superior suite and features a dash of red for fun with Mambo artist Bruce Goold’s soft furnishings and lino cuts,
already a Capella design trademark in the main Lodge.
Organic artwork by Cardamatis and Saad features bedside.
Complimentary room bar and private deck plunge spa complement the relaxed, fun-spirited sophistication of this luxe retreat.

LIDGBIRD PAVILION
The superlative new Lidgbird Pavilion is truly awe-inspiring at 120m² and is a popular choice for a special occasion.
A generous upper level bedroom area with ensuite opens to wrap around verandahs capturing panoramic views of ocean and mountains.
Sumptuous ground level living blends seamlessly with the private outdoor lounging area and features banquette lounge perfect to relax with a book,
or as a bed for an additional person.
