Pantanal Deluxe

Tour 1 – 6 Days

You’ll have the possibility to know deeply “Pantanal” in Matogrosso, stopping in the area with the most flourishing fauna and coming into contact with variuos species of wild animals like Toucans, Anaconda snakes, Caimans, etc.
You’ll have the possibility to experience all this in a safe and comfortable accommodation.

DAY 1: Arrive to the airport of Cuiabà. Departure toward Poconè (Capital of the Pantanal); brief visit of Poconè, lunch in churrascaria and departure toward the pousada “Rio Claro”, already inside the Pantanal and first knowledge of it. In the evening, after the supper in pousada, is scheduled a brief  nighttime safari, during which there is the possibility to meet various animals and nighttime birds, among which, wolves with the mane, tapirs, peccary and the ocelot.

DAY 2: Departure in the morning to complete a walk or a ride (to choice) inside the pousada (the whole pousada has a dimension of around 3000 hectares), where the characteristic caymen of the Pantanal (Jacarè), the Jabirùs (or Tuiuiu, the animal symbol of the Pantanal), the capivaras (the greatest rodent to the world) and innumerable kinds of birds can be admired. The lunch will effect in pousada and, in the afternoon, you can be enjoyed of a beautiful stroll in canoe along a river, situated in the proximities, where is possible to fish in total relax in water’s courses considered among the fishiest of the world and where we will come to contact with the dangerous piranha. Supper and overnight stay in pousada.

DAY 3: Departure to the dawn for Porto Jofre, where the Transpantaneira finishes, with some breaks in the run to admire various kinds of macaws: hyacinth (endemic of the Pantanal), green macaws, ararauna macaws (with yellow and blue plumage), places of nest-building of the Tuiuius, Toucans, families of the greatest rodent of the world, the Capivara, and with some fortune the great anaconda and the notorious jaguar (Onca pintada). The lunch, the supper and the overnight stay will take place in the hotel Porto Jofre.

DAY 4: In the morning we’ll visit the whole complex of the Porto Jofre hotel, where inside, among other there is a pond completely covered of Victoria amazonica (or regal Victoria) and his immediate proximities. After lunch (or even from the first morning if one is interested) there is the possibility to rent a boat and to penetrate in the waters of the river Cuiabà to fishing (also to professional level) of manifold kinds of fishes, among which the dourado, the pacù, the pintado, the piranha, various kinds of fish cat, etc… Return in the hotel after the sunset to dine and stay overnight. In the evening it is in program a nighttime safari, during which the possibility to meet a jaguar or an ocelot are very more elevated.

DAY 5: Departure from the hotel Porto Jofre to make return to the pousada Rio Claro. Lunch in pousada and in the afternoon it is foresaw a visit to the so-called “Tower of the Bugios”, where we will enjoy of the contact brought closer with some families of howling monkeys (bugio called) and of a surrounding amazing view, with sunsets from the contours that they seem to be painted by an impressionistic artist. Supper and overnight stay in pousada.

DAY 6: Free forenoon to rest and walk inside the pousada or to chooce a visit to a gold mining site. Lunch, and, in the afternoon, visit to some “shops” of handicraft commodity located in Poconè, for the possible purchase of typical products and souvenirs. Then return at the airport of Cuiabà.

La Rotta del Giaguaro

Tour 2 – 6 days

Choosing Itienrary n. 2 you can experience Pantanal throughly, with a tour that gets to all the accessible places of this area, stopping in the zones with more jaguar presence, making easier to watch him. Accomodations are practicals and comfortables.

DAY 4: In the morning we’ll make a photografic safari that will reach the Cuiabà river and we’ll make a boat-trip to find the jaguar, in this area is very easier to find them. Lunch in the boat and return in the hotel after the sunset to dine and stay overnight.

DAY 5: Departure to make return to the pousada “Rio Clarinho”. Lunch in pousada and in the afternoon it is foresaw a visit to a watchtower, where we will enjoy of a surrounding amazing view, with sunsets from the contours that they seem to be painted by an impressionistic artist. Supper and overnight stay in pousada.

DAY 6: In the forenoon is foresaw an horse walk. Lunch, and, in the afternoon, visit to a gold mining site and to some “shops” of handicraft commodity located in Poconè, for the possible purchase of typical products and souvenirs. Then return at the airport of Cuiabà.

Veloci Panta

Tour 3 – 3 days

To those who have little time to spend in Pantanal but still want to descover the fantastic fauna of this area, itineray n. 3 is the most suitable since,within 3 days only, it offers a genel but exhaustive view of Pantanal.  It can all be experienced in comfortable pousadas.

Jaguar guaranteed

Tour 4 – 7 days

Tour for true nature lovers and professionals photographers or cameramen, which will lead to a direct contact with the most wanted and charming Pantanal’s animal: the Jaguar.

This tour is called the “Guaranteed Jaguar” because in the last 3 years we have had the positivity average of 98.5% as regards the jaguar’s vision in the three-day stay at the “Jaguar Research Center”, and if someone, unfortunately fell into that 1,5% have the option to return for another 3 day FREE, over 2 years.

DAY 1: Arrive to the airport of Cuiabà. Departure toward Poconè (Capital of the Pantanal); brief visit of Poconè and departure toward the pousada “Santa Tereza”. In the evening, after the supper in pousada, is scheduled a brief nighttime safari, during which there is the possibility to meet various animals and nighttime birds, among which, wolves, tapirs, peccary and the ocelot.

DAY 2: Departure in the morning with destination “Jaguar Research Center”, located on the edge of the Cuiabá river in the area of greater jaguar’s presence, we’ll get to the end of Transpantaneira (the famous road that crosses the Pantanal North for 150 km), then we’ll take a boat that will lead us through the waters of the Cuiabá river for several hours until arriving at the research center, where we leave our luggage and have lunch. Rest of the day completely dedicated at the search of the jaguar. In the evening, after dinner, for who were interested, is planned a small lecture on the jaguar’s biology and habits, usually attended by professional biologists.

DAY 3: Full day dedicated to research, study and contemplation of the jaguar. Besides the Jaguar, in this area, we’ll have the opportunity to meet families of giant otters and tapirs… In addition to innumerable kinds of birds, caymans of the Pantanal (Jacaré), iguanas, etc…

The Jaguar Research Center is the world’s leading research center for wild jaguar’s viewing and study, this due to the record density of this cat in the area. This animal spend most of his time hunting the caymen, alwais omnipresent in the region. It is also the only lodge in the world that guarantees the sighting of the jaguar, in fact if a customer spends the 3 days/3 nights in the research center and doesn’t see the jaguar, we offer other 3 days/3 nights free to stay in a lodge in every time, over 2 years (after availability consultation). The 98.5% of our customers over the past three years has seen the jaguar, and usually for several hours and from close range. The entire Pantanal hosts between 4000 and 7000 exemplars of the third largest cat in the world, and in the region of the research center have been cataloged more than 200 units (up to November 2010 were recorded over 1,200 sightings).

DAY 4: Full day dedicated to the research and the study of the Jaguar.

DAY 5: Departure from the “Jaguar Research Center” to make return to the Pousada Santa Tereza. Lunch in pousada and in the afternoon, it is foresaw an ecological walk nearby the pousada. Supper and overnight stay in pousada.

DAY 6: Departure in the morning to complete a ride (or walk, to choice) inside the pousada. The lunch will effect in pousada and, in the afternoon, you can be enjoyed of a beautiful stroll in canoe along a river, situated in the proximities, where is possible to fish in total relax in water’s courses considered among the fishiest of the world and where we will come to contact with the dangerous piranha. DAY 7: Return at the airport of Cuiaba, with possible visiting to some shops of handicraft commodity located in Poconé for the purchase of typical products and souvenirs, in relation to flight schedules.
