ITINERARY:
| Day 1 Arrive Bariloche Bariloche is a quaint Swiss style town and the gateway to the famous Lakes district, located on the southern shore of lake Nahuel Huapi. This vast area in the southern Andes of Argentina and Chile is considered one of the most beautiful regions with its lakes, rivers, snow capped peaks, abundance of flora and fauna. Bariloche is also famous for its ski fields and chocolate shops. Our local representative will meet you on arrival in Bariloche for transfer to your hotel. |
| Day 2 Bariloche Hotel pick up at 9am for a half day sightseeing tour along the Nahuel-Huapi National Park, visiting Cerro Campanario where there is an option to take the chair-lift to the top of the hill from where the spectacular beauty of the region can be appreciated. Continue to Llao Llao Peninsula and the San Eduardo Chapel, an architectural treasure. Drop off at hotel around midday. Afternoon at leisure. |
| Day 3 Bariloche – Peulla Hotel pick up at 8am to begin your 2 day lakes crossing experience. From Bariloche, drive to Puerto Panuelo, located on the Llao Llao Peninsular. You will board the catamaran at this point, and cross Nahuel Huapi Lake, on the way to the beautiful secluded town of Perto Blest. Once you arrive, you will have time to explore Cantaros Falls. Leave Puerto Blest on bus for a short transfer to Puerto Alegre, to cross lago Frias on board a catamaran. Disembark at Puerto Frias to clear immigration and cross into Chile. The next two hours will take you through the mountains on bus until your arrival into Puella, at around 4.30pm. Overnight Peulla. |
| Day 4 Peulla – Puerto Varas Transfer to the pier to board the boat for the cruise across Todos Los Santos Lake (All Saints Lake – the Emerald Lake) to Petrohue. Continue by road past the Perez Rosales National park travelling south beside Lake Llanquihue where Osorno & Calbuco volcanoes dominate the landscape, to the “city of Roses”, Puerto Varas. Colonised by German immigrants, the strong influence of these colonists can be appreciated throughout the area, and visible in the architecture on many of the buildings in the town. Drop off at your hotel in Puerto Varas around 7.30pm. |
| Day 5 Depart Puerto Varas At the pre-appointed time, you will be transferred to the airport. Tour concludes. |
