BUSINESS CLASS Airfares
Finnair – Business Class
In Business Class, you have more services and options available than in Economy Class. These include, for example, the following:
- You can pick a check-in method for an international flight that best suits your needs, from the selection of fast and flexible options.
- At Helsinki Airport you may use the Priority Lane check-in area 219–222 with direct access to a Priority Lane to security control (also applicable to the Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver members).
- You are allowed more baggage at no extra charge, than Economy Class passengers and a Priority tab is attached to your baggage making claiming your suitcases much faster.
- The lounges are at your disposal for work and rest, at all Finnair scheduled flight destinations (also applicable to the Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver members).
- You may reserve your outbound flight in a different class than the inbound flight through Finnair Customer Care Center or your travel agent. For example, fly to your destination in Economy Class and return in Business Class.
- You may also board your return flight from a different city, in three areas: Finland, Scandinavia and the Baltic countries, as well as the rest of Europe.
- Changing and cancelling flights is more flexible and last minute seat availability is better than with Economy Class.
- On Airbus A340-300 and A330-300 aircraft, Business Class is equipped with lie-flat or full-flat seats.

Services in Business Class
When you fly Finnair’s Business Class, you get more out of your trip at the airport, on the plane, and at your destination. You’ll find a short introduction to Finnair’s services for business class travelers on this website.
Before the flight:
Business class ticket types are flexible according to your schedules. They enable last minute changes and cancellations, and there are often vacant seats at short notice, too.
You can check-in according to your preference, either in person at the check-in desk (at Helsinki airport there is a dedicated check-in for business class travelers), in the lounge (if you are traveling only with hand baggage), by SMS while in your taxi to the airport, or online at your hotel. If your flight is delayed, you’ll be notified by SMS.
As a business class traveler, you are allowed to take up to 10 kg more checked baggage, and, in addition to hand baggage, your briefcase or laptop can be taken into the cabin.
The lounges are at your disposal at the international gate areas of all Finnair’s scheduled flight destinations. There you will find newspapers and magazines, beverages and snacks, and office equipment and communication connections for your convenience.
During the flight
Finnair’s intercontinental meals and wines have been awarded several international prizes, for example from the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, International Food, Wine and Travel Writers’ Association, Decanter wine magazine, and Business Traveller magazine.
During intercontinental flights, you can sleep peacefully on the latest lie-flat seat. While awake, entertainment is provided by a personal entertainment system and a wide selection of international newspapers and magazines.
After the flight
Your luggage, labeled with a priority tag, will appear first from the hold – great for when you are on a tight schedule to make your meeting. When necessary, you can check your meeting location on the Internet before leaving the airport, as you have access to the lounges when waiting for a connecting flight or after your flight.
