Mt Kilimanjaro – Rongai Route

Approaching the mountain from a north-easterly direction, Rongai is quite a remote route. This lightly used track retains a genuine sense of wilderness and offers a different perspective on Kilimanjaro by approaching it from this direction. It is generally considered to be the easiest of the quality routes on the mountain. The Rongai route begins in attractive farmland and delightful forest, with the possibility of wildlife viewing, and passes through several different climate zones, adding considerably to the interest of the trek
