Day 1 Auckland – Napier – Hawkes BayFly from Auckland to Napier on the east coast. Collect your vehicle and continue to the picturesque Hawkes Bay. This evening settle into your surrounds as you dine on the finest local cuisine. Greenhill Lodge is an opulent and tranquil retreat located in the heart of Hawke’s Bay wine country. You are transported in a 1934 Buick with a local guide as you delve into the Art Deco legacy left to Napier when it was rebuilt following the devastating 1931 earthquake. Take in the city, Napier Hill and Marine Parade as well as the homes and gardens of Napier’s Art Deco suburb, Marewa. You will have time this afternoon to further explore the area or visit a nearby winery in this world renowned region. (B,D).

Day 4 Napier – AucklandEnjoy a safari to the world’s largest landbased Gannet Colony before dropping your vehicle at Napier Airport. Visitors to the colony will see adults and young nesting in serried rows carrying out their daily routine. In the air, these amazing birds with their six foot wing span will swoop and dive as they bring back fish. On the ground, just a few feet away, the pairs preen and perform the dance of the gannets’ recognition ritual. (B,L).
