Cunard Experience

If travel is meant to be savoured, then crossing the oceans should be a majestic experience, not merely a hop across the pond. For travellers of this persuasion, only one name evokes the pleasures of a golden era: Cunard Line.Proudly continuing the tradition of luxury cruising that began in 1840, Queen Victoria was successfully launched in December 2007 and was named by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall in a spectacular ceremony in Southampton.

Queen Mary 2 continues her scheduled transatlantic service and the demand for this legendary crossing is growing.

Maintaining the tradition of her Cunard and White Star Line predecessors, Queen Mary 2 is the only ship offering regularly scheduled transatlantic service.

Queen Elizabeth 2 celebrated her 40th anniversary in September 2007 and continues to set the standard of British elegance with superb White Star Service™ and gourmet cuisine. QE2 is the world’s most loved ship and 2008 sees her farewell season start in style with her 26th World Cruise followed by many round-trip Southampton voyages until November when she will sail her final voyages to her new home in Dubai.

Queen Elizabeth

Our Gracious new Crunarder

Relive in modern glamour high society events of the 1930s and 1940s as you grace ornate rooms whose rich décor recalls the halcyon days when our first Queen Elizabeth ruled the waves.

Your entrance into this graceful realm is dramatic indeed, as you encounter the curved staircases, geometric patterns and spectacular artwork of the soaring Grand Lobby. Overlooking its stately grandeur is the two-tier Library, a calm haven of warm wood tones bathed in natural reading light and crowned with a fabulous leaded glass ceiling.

Opulent materials, luxuriant furnishings and art deco period flourishes create a stirring impression elsewhere on board, as you’ll discover in the double height Queens Room. Here, sip afternoon tea beneath ornate cantilevered balconies and specially commissioned stained glass panels or waltz across the intricate wooden dance floor, gloriously illuminated by the magnificent chandelier.

The Warmest Welcome

On Queen Elizabeth, 71% of the staterooms have balconies to catch the sea breeze.
