The 100th Anniversary of the Gallipoli landing should see the largest gathering ever for the dawn service at North Beach. Accommodation on and around the peninsula will be at a premium and most will need to travel long distances. Those attending the service will need to overnight at North Beach leaving them exposed to the elements. Amenities on the peninsula are limited and the weather is unknown, rain fell when our ANZACs landed so you need to be prepared for both the overnight chill and possible rain.

Whilst we have no control over the weather our cruise guests will be in the comfort of their cabins up to 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the dawn service. Coffee, tea and biscuits will be available 24/7 and breakfast will follow the service. The ship will anchor off the shores of Gallipoli and all on-board will be part of our special 100th anniversary service.

Our cruise guests will not have to overnight on land at Gallipoli on the 24th April because we will anchor off the Gallipoli shore. Our guests will be able to participate in the dawn service from the ship. For travellers that have limited mobility, the cruise is the perfect solution to be part of the Gallipoli dawn service.

Guests will visit the Gallipoli peninsula on the 19th and 20th April. This will allow you to explore the beaches and heights prior to the arrival of the expected crowds. This 2 day visit is part of the cruise package and our historians will accompany you ashore to visit the beaches. Our historians will provide a detailed insight into the hardships our Anzac’s faced.

The cruise is not until 2015, which gives potential travellers time to prepare for the voyage. This trip will be a chance to see many destinations in the world and to be part of the 100th anniversary of ANZAC Day at Gallipoli.

Itinerary

Embarking at the Fremantle port in Western Australia will be such a wonderful and exciting experience. This location will provide an amazing atmosphere of dignitaries, special guests, marching bands and entertainment with all their colour and spectacle of the ship leaving port. The cruise will then sail down to the town of Albany. This is the original location where Australian soldiers embarked from and the beginning of their journey to Gallipoli.

With stops in Colombo, Luxor, Cairo, Kusadasi, Canakkale, Istanbul, Santorini, Athens, Palermo, Naples & Rome, this trip will allow guests the pleasure of seeing many other parts of the world. The cruise will include excellent day tour options to ensure that all of the best sightseeing attractions are covered in each location.

Most importantly the cruise ship will arrive to Gallipoli on the 19th & 20th April so that guests can see all the sights of the area without the crowd. The ship will return for ANZAC Day to be involved in the celebrations of our 100th anniversary on the 25th April.

Our clients will have the luxury of the ship at all times and the assistance of well trained staff, war historians and a mixture of Australian entertainment. We will present a wonderful ANZAC theme on board which will be a feature of the voyage.

Cunard Experience

If travel is meant to be savoured, then crossing the oceans should be a majestic experience, not merely a hop across the pond. For travellers of this persuasion, only one name evokes the pleasures of a golden era: Cunard Line. Proudly continuing the tradition of luxury cruising that began in 1840, Queen Victoria was successfully launched in December 2007 and was named by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall in a spectacular ceremony in Southampton.

Queen Mary 2 continues her scheduled transatlantic service and the demand for this legendary crossing is growing.

Maintaining the tradition of her Cunard and White Star Line predecessors, Queen Mary 2 is the only ship offering regularly scheduled transatlantic service.

Queen Elizabeth 2 celebrated her 40th anniversary in September 2007 and continues to set the standard of British elegance with superb White Star Service™ and gourmet cuisine. QE2 is the world’s most loved ship and 2008 sees her farewell season start in style with her 26th World Cruise followed by many round-trip Southampton voyages until November when she will sail her final voyages to her new home in Dubai.

Queen Mary 2

Sail The World In Sophisticated Style

Queen Mary 2 is the most magnificent ocean liner ever built. Her every detail harkens to the Golden Age of Ocean Travel, while providing one of the most modern cruise experiences on earth. From bow to stern, discover 14 spacious decks on which to relax and unwind; to indulge in pleasures and pursuits you never normally have time for. Opulent public areas, extravagant dining rooms, ballrooms, theatres, lounges…even the only Planetarium at sea.

It is only in a world like this that modern fairy tales at sea are possible – where ordinary travellers can feel like royalty for a week or two. But words can only do such a lady so much justice, for to truly revel in the grandeur that is Queen Mary 2, you must sail with her.

Your Sanctuary at Sea

Combining classic Cunard elegance with a stylish, contemporary flair, Queen Mary 2′s staterooms and suites provide a lovely home base for seeing the world. And with room for up to 2,592 guests, there’s something for everyone.

Almost three quarters of her rooms have a private balcony. Grill accommodations offer more space and more amenities, from their comfortable Princess Suites to glorious Duplex Apartments. Even her interior staterooms provide trademark Cunard touches — tasteful decor, rich wood furnishings and details, a mini-refrigerator, bathrobe and slippers, 24-hour room service and nightly turndown service with pillow chocolates.

Dining: A Grand Occasi

on

Dining has always been the centrepiece of any Cunard voyage, a celebration where superb culinary creations are proudly served by waiters trained in the fine art of Cunard White Star ServiceSM. Make a sweeping entrance all dressed up in your finery, take your seat, browse our inspiring menus and enjoy our most delicious dining traditions.

There is a team of outstanding chefs and 10 dining venues in all, including the innovative Mediterranean cuisine of the Todd English restaurant. As with the custom of ocean liners in the past, each Queen Mary 2 stateroom is matched with a reserved table at a sea-view restaurant, complemented by the largest wine selection afloat. Of course, you can always make reservations at one of the many optional dining alternatives. Or don’t dine out – dine in! Room service is available 24 hours a day – complimentary of course!

A Day Onboard Queen Mary 2

With a guest capacity of 3,056, Queen Mary 2′s sheer size allows for a world of diversions. Sybarites can enjoy the rejuvenating treatments of the world-renowned Canyon Ranch SpaClub®. If you’re into health and fitness, there’s a state-of-the-art gym and weight room plus our well equipped sports decks. Or how about a visit to the Planetarium? A wine tasting seminar in Illuminations? Or a walk down history lane at the Maritime Quest Exhibit. Queen Mary 2 entices you to discover a multitude of distractions, with everything from virtual reality golf to a basketball court to a book shop.

When the stars come out, she shines even brighter. Beaded gowns. Black ties and tails. Queen Mary 2 plays host to the most elegant soirees of the season – in any season. Dancers sweep across the largest ballroom at sea in the Queens Room. Hors d’oeuvres are served in Sir Samuel’s wine bar, jazz in the Commodore Club, West End-calibre shows in the Royal Court Theatre. Spin over to the casino with its tuxedoed croupiers. Head down to the G32 disco, or retire to the Chart Room where a cabaret singer croons Some Enchanted Evening… which, you’ll discover, occurs nightly aboard Queen Mary 2.

Queen Victoria

A Glorious New Reign Begins

Warmly reminiscent of a more gracious era, modern technology combines seamlessly with her classic yet contemporary interior. Crafted to exude elegance with intricate mosaics, gleaming chandeliers and luxuriant marbles. Crafted too, for sublime comfort with plush carpets, rich fabrics and soft furnishings.
Her arrival in December 2007 has already stirred remarkable anticipation. In January 2008, she makes her first show-stopping global debut as her thrilling Maiden World Cruise is destined for seafaring folklore. It’s a classic Cunard tradition magnificently reinterpreted. Would you expect anything else? Queen Victoria is, after all, a Classic Cunarder.

January 2008 will see another proud moment in our history. As Queen Victoria sets off for New York on the first stage of her Maiden World Cruise, her sister, QE2 will join her on an historic tandem Transatlantic Crossing. These elegant Cunarders will sail on January 6, 2008 arriving in New York on January 13 to meet their sister, Queen Mary 2 for a great meeting of the three Queens. A momentous occasion not to be missed.

The Warmest Welcome

On Queen Victoria, over two thirds of the staterooms have private balconies to catch the sea breeze. Upholding the classic tradition at sea, your choice of accommodation is matched to your dining style. Luxuriate in sumptuous Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites with marble bathrooms and butler service in the highest categories.

Dining: An Inspired Selection

Inventive variety is the very hallmark of the flavours, sensations and cuisines in each of our main restaurants. Yet the culinary adventure aboard Queen Victoria extends beyond their elegant menus. So you’re always free to act on the impulses of your taste buds and seek out options ranging from the sublimely creative to the superbly casual. Remember too, room service is on call at any time of the day or night from your suite or stateroom. Whatever the moment, excellence and choice always combine memorably on Queen Victoria.

Here the Exceptional is to be Expected

Queen Victoria’s pleasurable diversions and distractions ensure you are as thoroughly entertained and entirely relaxed as you would wish to be. It’s simply a question of matching your mood to the many pleasures in front of you.

If pampering is your priority, give yourself over to rejuvenating spa therapies and revitalising beauty treatments in the Cunard Health Club and Spa. When discovery calls, compare regional subtleties in wine-tasting classes in the Midships Lounge or expand your expertise with an engaging guest speaker at ConneXions™. In sunny climes, saunter outdoors onto 10,000 square feet of glorious open deck. Challenge yourself to a length or two of the outdoor pool before tea. Or dive into an enthralling novel – picked from the Library’s 6,000 titles.
Later the curtain rises on sparkling entertainment. The splendid Royal Court Theatre seats 830 and has the first private boxes at sea. Then waltz on the beautifully crafted dance floor beneath the Queens Room’s glittering chandeliers.

Queen Elizabeth

Our Gracious new Crunarder

Relive in modern glamour high society events of the 1930s and 1940s as you grace ornate rooms whose rich décor recalls the halcyon days when our first Queen Elizabeth ruled the waves.

Your entrance into this graceful realm is dramatic indeed, as you encounter the curved staircases, geometric patterns and spectacular artwork of the soaring Grand Lobby. Overlooking its stately grandeur is the two-tier Library, a calm haven of warm wood tones bathed in natural reading light and crowned with a fabulous leaded glass ceiling.

Opulent materials, luxuriant furnishings and art deco period flourishes create a stirring impression elsewhere on board, as you’ll discover in the double height Queens Room. Here, sip afternoon tea beneath ornate cantilevered balconies and specially commissioned stained glass panels or waltz across the intricate wooden dance floor, gloriously illuminated by the magnificent chandelier.

The Warmest Welcome

On Queen Elizabeth, 71% of the staterooms have balconies to catch the sea breeze.

Upholding the classic tradition at sea, your choice of accommodation is matched to your dining style. Luxuriate in sumptuous Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites with marble bathrooms and butler service in the highest categories.

Superlative Cuisine and an Unrivalled Sense of Style

As afternoon melts into evening, you’ll notice a swell of anticipation. Soon, course by mouthwatering course, another exceptional dining occasion unfolds with all the sophistication and panache you would expect of Cunard.

One of four elegant restaurants will welcome you, depending on your accommodation choice. Of course, your taste buds could always lead you towards a choice of alternative dining experiences, encompassing the stylish, the delightfully casual and evenings devoted to a special culinary theme.

Exquisite Settings for Elegant Social Occasions

Queen Elizabeth’s impressive public rooms, adorned with gleaming marbles, polished woods, delicate mosaics and plush fabrics, lend a lavish tone to a glamorous whirl of memorable get-togethers.

Foremost among these is the three-tier Royal Court Theatre, whose private boxes and regal blue and gold create a sumptuous stage for dazzling dramatic performances and illuminating Cunard Insights talks by renowned guest speakers. An equally refined air surrounds the designer boutiques of the Royal Arcade, with its curved staircases, feature lighting and a strikingly ornate sculpture arranged majestically over two decks.

Their “yachtscapes” are designed for active adventurers who have a driving desire to escape to unknown harbours without sacrificing comfort. Many of these gems remain “below the radar” because larger vessels can’t get into them. The world is certainly vast, but it’s best experienced in small doses — up-close and yacht personal! The 36-guest Safari Explorer, 22-guest Safari Quest and 12-guest Safari Spirit cruise during daylight hours only, maximizing your opportunities to truly experience nature.

Discover the inner reaches of Alaska’s Inside Passage, the Hawaiian Islands, Mexico’s Sea of Cortés, Columbia/Snake Rivers and Pacific Northwest/British Columbia.

The sleek profile and maneuverability of the yachts gives you unparalleled access to your destination’s many wonders. You come so close to pristine waterfalls that you feel the invigorating spray. Your itinerary is flexible enough that your Captain can change course when word of whale sightings comes over the radio, or slow the engines and linger in a tidal inlet if bears are out foraging on the beach. Maybe all the guests agree they want to spend extra time kayaking, hiking, or beachcombing. It’s your trip.

We call it yacht cruising. We’ve plotted a course, set the menu and hired the crew. You get the pleasures of yachting without doing any of the work.

American Safari Cruises Difference

Lasting Friendships

Because your cruising party is small, you get to know your fellow travelers, people you’ll have more to talk about and laugh with as the days go by. They’re people like you, curious about new places and able to appreciate roads less traveled. Hiking or kayaking side by side, you and your shipmates will form lasting friendships. American Safari yachts accommodate just 12, 22 or 36 guests, which also makes them perfect for a group of friends or family to charter.

Expert Guides, Friendly Captains

You also become familiar with your crew and staff, whose goal is to make every aspect of your journey a pleasure and to facilitate your adventures ashore. You’re always welcome to visit the bridge and discuss navigation with the Captain. Throughout your voyage, you’re accompanied by a knowledgeable Expedition Leader who offers timely narratives about the local history and wildlife, introduces you to local indigenous peoples, and keeps a lookout for wildlife. Humpback whales abeam while you’re in the lounge? Your guide will sound the alert!

An Inclusive Experience

Maybe you remember other cruises where you had to pay extra for tours and your drinks at the ship’s bar. Not with us. With the exception of a gratuity for the crew – which we believe is a very personal elective – everything is included on our cruise. From your arrival at the airport to a fond farewell, you’re a pampered guest aboard our yachts.

Everything’s included from the first to the last:

Gourmet meals

Premium wine, beer and spirits

Kayaking and shore boat exploring

Everyone is served at one seating, family-style; dress is always casual. Of course, we’re happy to plan for any special dietary needs, and if there’s something you’ve got a craving for, let us know. Milestone events are celebrated in great style on-board.
